Service Description:

A rural health care organization that includes the Atikokan General Hospital, Atikokan Family Health Team and Atikokan Community Counselling to provide a range of health care and community services to residents in the Town of Atikokan and surrounding areas in the Rainy River District
NOTE: Do not call the Atikokan General Hospital Emergency Department seeking medical advice. Due to legal reasons the emergency department staff are unable to provide advice or information over the telephone

Offers individual counselling for mental health issues

Provides referral services to appropriate supports

Services offered for mental health issues can include but not limited to:

Depression, anxiety and other mood disorders
Stress
Trauma
Bipolar and related disorders
Eating disorders
Anger management and Partner Assault Response (PAR) program
Crisis intervention support
Pre-treatment and aftercare addictions recovery support
