Emergency Interpretation Services Mon-Sun 24 hours
Service Description: Offers services, products, and information that remove barriers to communication, advance hearing health, and promote equity for people who are culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened and hard of hearing

  • Provides American Sign Language (ASL) - English interpretation services across Ontario
  • Provides la langue des signes québécoise (LSQ) - French interpretation services in Ottawa and Sudbury
  • Offers on-site or video remote interpreting (VRI) services
  • Offers pre-booked daytime and emergency interpretation services
  • Will provide interpreters for various situations, including:
    • Job interviews
    • Medical appointments
    • Business meeting
    • Giving evidence in court
    • Arranging a mortgage
    • In crisis in a hospital, shelter, or police station

    Application:
    • Call, email, submit the online form or use Teams Video (ASL/LSQ): CHS/SCO


    • Submit requests 1-2 weeks in advance to ensure interpreter availability

    • Emergency Interpretation Services: Individuals who are faced with sudden, unforeseen crises that requires immediate attention
